Diana Martin
Chairman
Diana’s love of classical music stems from when she was a young girl at home with her parents and sister listening to their radiogramme or records. Many evenings were spent listening to Grieg, Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky and often the music heard was attributed to grand film scores such as the Warsaw Concerto.
Upon leaving school, Diana mainly worked within the public sector, firstly as a civil servant working with the Ministry of Defence where she met her future husband, Brian. More recently she worked within the National Health Service at Farnham Hospital.
Following her retirement, she volunteered her time with the Friends of Farnham Hospital and the Friends of St Andrew’s, where she is also on the PCC. Diana also volunteers as a Farnham Castle guide. Since 2018 she has worked with Farnham Sinfonia, helping conductor Matthew to bring exceptional classical music three times a year to Farnham’s residents and the community beyond.
In 2014 Diana was awarded the Services to Farnham medal for her work at the hospital.

Martin Richards
Treasurer
Martin moved fairly recently to the Farnham area but has rapidly come to love the town and its artistic life. A classical music lover all his life and a keen amateur musician (baroque flute), he has been a trustee and treasurer for the "Baroque Week" music charity for several years and brings this knowledge and experience as Trustee and Treasurer for Farnham Sinfonia.
